MY WEEKLY CHECK IN @ 81 WEEKS

Good Morning and welcome to 81 weeks post transplant for me and this is my weekly check in.  81 and counting - yes I am counting and every day and every week thrills me.

I am back to Clinic this week and have been for bloods and the results of those will go directly to Flinders.  It was a bit of a struggle for the staff to draw my blood but we got there even though we did keep a waiting room full of people wondering why it was all taking so long.

These appointments are merely part of my life now as is the medication I take and the precautions I take to stay well.

I am being very careful to avoid the winter ills - my family and friends are great and ring and say they and their germs are staying away.

It is my way of life - and it's fine with me - it is LIFE and I am thankful for it and I have a heart full of gratitude to my donor and his family.
