TIME TO CHECK IN AGAIN @ 83 weeks
Wednesday, August 3, 2011
Good Morning and here I am alive and well and checking in @ 83 weeks post transplant.
I have so much to be thankful for and each week is a reminder of how precious and how fragile life is. I am blessed to be well and to be living life to the full. It is a different lifestyle - but a good one and one that I can cope with very well.
Alive and Well - Kevin Chesney and Dave Matthews
This lovely song has become my anthem and if you listen you will understand why it means so much to me - "breathin and out's a blessing can't you see" - I had pleural effusions which mean breathing was terribly difficult for me. I play this song often and it inspires me.
It is early morning and the sun in shining and we are forecast 25 degrees today (77) - sky is blue, gentle breeze and white fluffy clouds in my sky - a good to be alive day.
I am having coffee in my new coffee mug - there are two that I start my day with - one clearly states:
"I live because of my liver donor"
and the other
"Find out about Stevens Johnson Syndrome before it finds someone you love."
They are constant reminders to me that I am alive on two counts - my transplant and I survived SJS (thanks to some incredible doctors and nurses).
I hope there is sunshine in your day and that you too are glad to be alive.
Love and hugs,
Linda.
